The Green Generation
My name is Ofori Nana Emmanuel and I am 23 years old and a co-founder. Over the past 3 years, I have been working as a waste activist in the Upper West Region of Ghana where I spent a couple of years with my grandparents and spent three (3) years in the Northern Region for my secondary education at Ghana Senior High. I have some background in networking, social media management, sales development, graphic designing, and customer relationship. I recently got a certificate from Start Now social environment Hub for the passion I have for recycling plastic waste.
I am currently a level 400 student at the University of Professional Studies, Accra pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. What got me into the field, though was the passion I had for plastic waste management. Throughout my life, I have noticed that I love the challenge of finding solutions to control and minimize the rate at which our oceans are being polluted with plastic waste.
I met with two other female entrepreneurs (Abla Irene Esinam and Oware Deborah) who had the same passion as mine in the sanitation industry and we became partners after a year of working together. With the combination of our skills and knowledge, we can structure a well business plan aimed at solving plastic waste in Ghana. The Green Generation Ghana will serve as a plastic waste recycling company. With the use of advanced technology, the business will convert all kinds of plastic waste into alternative building materials for construction and building industries.
