The Business Incubator received a proposal from the office of the SRC women’s commission to partner with the incubator to host a 3 days Entrepreneurship Business Pitch II from 9th to 11th October 2019. After all due diligence, the management of the faculty approved to commence the program.
On the 9th of October, 2019 was an entrepreneurship summit at the LBC auditorium from 11 am to 2 pm and was attended by over 300 students.
On Wednesday, 9th October, 2019 was the opening day for the program and it started exactly at 11:30am. Opening prayer was said by the PRO of the WOCOM Awura Abena followed by a welcoming address from the SRC Women’s Commissioner Beverly Appiah Benewaa, “today is the beginning of the long awaiting CESE, lets pay key attention to the speakers and learn something at the end’’. We honored to have our first speaker to be Mr. Lawyer Sasu. According to him, he promised to support with Gh2000 that is the cash price to the winner of the competition.
The second speaker, Miss Brenda Odei an Administrative Executive of Tarragon edge. They give training to startup entrepreneurs and offer internship opportunities and they are willing to help in programs like this. A quote she gave us “you will encounter failure at the beginning and the middle but don’t entertain it at the end”. Again we had our third speaker to be Mr. Aboabeng and said that he has been an entrepreneur his whole life and the most difficult decision to ever make is to be an entrepreneur. He said again that as an entrepreneur, employ people that will contribute massively to the success of your business.
There was a quite commercial break where we had a performance from Awura Abena the Poet. Lastly we had our final speaker to be Miss Celestine Sarpong, Co-Founder of Flith buster who also gingered us with her experiences as an entrepreneur. To end the program.
Thursday 10th October, 2019. On this day a business clinic was organized, experts were brought to the incubator to help the participant get more clarifications of the business they wanted to venture in, training was given to the participants who pitched their business idea on Friday at the Business incubator. Things that were taught includes how to develop a business canvas model, business plan, branding and marketing, registration procedure of a business in Ghana and finally key points judges are willing to hear in your presentation. This day too was successful at the end. It started at 11:30am and closed at 2:00pm.

Friday, 11th October, 2019 the final day of the program Campus Entrepreneurs Summit and Exhibition. On this day, students, participants and judges were seated around 12pm ready to present, listen and give accurate results at the end. There were 8 participants in all and the first group who presented was called Nur followed by Podash, Abochie alire, D2 Swipe, TrianGh, Trenestate, Borlamall and lastly Cake Seduction.
Each group was given 10 minute to present their business ideas and 5 minute for questions from the judges.
Out the 8 groups, 3 were able to come successful and they are Podash, Cake Seduction and TrainGh. Poash is a group that presented on using potash to make soup with different fragrant and they had the 3rd position. Moreover, a group called Cake Seduction also presented on an idea that, they will provide cake at any price at all. Given a reason that, cake sellers have fixed prices they sell at and they as a group are in to break that fact. They became 2nd at the end of the competition. TrainGh was the fifth group who presented on providing employable skills to people who have no business to do. Their skills are in divers ways (detergents, pastries, beading, fashion, excel training etc). They were 1st at the end of the competition. To do us the honor to present the awards of Gh1000, 1500, and 2000 respectively were the SRC Women’s Commissioner, the deputy SRC Women’s Commissioner and the Forma SRC Electoral Commission.
